Foods compared by label data: compare foods

How we research

Every page on bestdogfoodforyorkies.org starts from a sourced research sheet: each brand's own product page (AAFCO statement, guaranteed analysis, calories and ingredients), AAFCO, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the breed club and veterinary schools. Writing is assisted by AI and checked against those sources and an automated rules check before it is published. Pages name their sources in the text and list them at the end.

We compare foods on their published label data only. We do not run feeding trials or taste tests, we do not accept free product or payment from brands, and no food on this site prevents or treats a disease. A veterinarian should choose the diet for a dog with a health condition.

What we leave out

When a source does not state something, such as a price, a fee or a waitlist, we say so instead of estimating it. We do not claim expert review we have not had.
